Although we might have benefit more from the two of them [Internet2 & LambdaRail]. I must say that I'm kind of happy that they seperated and backed off from the merger. In the near future I really don't want a single high priced internet service. I rather have multiple service provider that competes with each other for their customers which equals to newly researched modifications to their service or technology etc etc, better pricing packages for the customers, and the fact we get to actually choice what we want. It's like cable and dsl but in the end there's going to be one that's always going to stand out. Internet2 or LambdaRail?

FYI neither LambdaRail nor Internet2 are ever gonna be available for customers that aren't major colleges and labs.
