I'm pretty sure the selling point on all these units is the fact that they are almost Silent, passively cooled (plus using less power to boot since it doesn't have a high-end GPU/multicore CPU/etc.), and they probably boot up right into media center extender with little fanfare. I remember the original Xbox media extender, there was nothing more annoying than watching the stupid green Xbox opening animation every time I wanted to watch a show. At least the 360 is a bit more classy. RS-232 controller for system automation is also very cool if you have one of those pimped out custom configurations where a Logitech Harmony just doesn't cut it, and I'll bet they make a 19" rack mount bracket set for this so you can integrate it into your AV closet. Obviously not for average folks.
